Overview
Vision
The New Jersey Indian Church is an evangelical, international, and ecumenical church, affiliated with the Church of South India. Although our focus is on reaching out primarily to the Indian community, we believe that Jesus Christ works through many strands of His church and welcome all who love Him as members of our congregation. Our worship service is in English but we have songs in our native languages especially during special events. Mission of the Church
The New Jersey Indian Church seeks to minister to spiritual and temporal needs within the congregation, the community, and the world at large, consistent with standards of biblical teaching. We see this as including (Acts 2:42-47):
Teaching and preaching of the Gospel
Regular worship services
Administration of sacraments, including baptism, confirmation, communion, and marriage
Fellowship
Prayer
Benevolence to members of the congregation in need
Missions and outreach to people in need around the world
Statement of Faith
We believe in the Trinity of God in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14).
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God (John 3:16), that He was born of the Virgin Mary (Matthew 1:20), died for us on the cross (Luke 23:33,46) though He was without sin (John 8:46), that on the third day He rose again (Luke 24:7), that He ascended into heaven (Acts 1:9) and is seated at the right hand of God the Father (Luke 22:69). We look for His coming again (Matthew 25:31) to judge the living and the dead (Revelation 20:12,13).
We believe in life everlasting (John 3:16) to all who are saved by the precious blood of Jesus Christ (Romans 5:9, Revelation 12:11).
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16)
We welcome people of all races and languages who profess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and invite them to be full members of the church (Galatians 3:28).
